The first Earth Hour started in Sydney, Australia in 2007. More than 2.2 million people and numerous businesses turned their lights off for one hour. Fairfield’s Earth Day Committee (FEDC) announces the theme for this year’s annual “green” celebration, which is scheduled for April 30, 2011 from 10-4 pm at Fairfield Warde High School on Melville Avenue.
